As the Riders for Chloe gathered at Panthers we knew we were headed for a great day. (View some photos from the day.)
Already our fundraising target had been exceeded – and we still had the Ride itself in front of us.
And we were gifted a picture perfect day – ideal riding conditions.
Chloe’s family – Shiralee, Barry, Lexi, and Noah (Mum, Dad, Big Sister & Little Brother) – traveled down from Tamworth for the Ride. They met the Riders at Panthers and then again at the Jamison Hotel for the end of Ride social. What a wonderfully warm and beautiful family.
33 Riders lined up and, on the day, a total of $1,500 was raised from Ride fees and raffles.
Our GoFundMe campaign raised $5,700, after deducting the GoFundMe fees we had $5,300. So, a total of $6,800 was raised by the DFC Ride For Chloe.
The family were humble and grateful for all the help and support they had received from the DFC and many others. Shiralee, Chloe’s Mum said the financial support from the Chloe Ride would help with some pressing bill, allow them to buy a headstone for Chloe’s resting place and to give the family a treat with an outing to Taronga Park Zoo.
The whole event was a great success thanks to the support of everyone who rode, all who made donations and the Jamison Hotel for the generous support and help.
All round, the Disciples For Christ CMM are blessed to have been able to have been part of helping this beautiful family. Our prayers are with them, may the good Lord bless them and keep them safe.
We look forward to next year’s Ride for Chloe to raise much needed funds for the ongoing and important battle with childhood cancers. We hope you can join us again.
Hi Stephen, and to the wonderful DFC Riders and many Supporters of the ride for Chloe. I wish to thank you all for the special day that you gave to Chloe’s Family. My daughter Shiralee was so happy to meet you all, l know Barry, Alexis and Noah had a great time too.
